Overview
The GN2408 is an eight-lane retimer with adaptive equalization and transmit de-emphasis designed for 5Gbps to 12.8Gbps of full rate operations. It is also designed for half-rate and quarter-rate
operation to retime down to 1.25Gbps, Ethernet, Infiniband and Fiber Channel applications. The GN2408 extends the reach and robustness of high-speed serial links by compensating for losses
and reflections in the transmission medium, and by resetting the crosstalk and jitter budgets.
